Purposes of processing and legal bases:
For the provision of our guest Wi-Fi, we process the following personal data for technical reasons: MAC address, IP address, any network and browser data that may be generated, and log data about the type and usage. We use IT service providers and processors. The data will not be forwarded to or further processed by third parties unless there is reasonable suspicion of unlawful use. In such cases, the data may be linked to other personal data and forwarded to third parties (e.g., law enforcement agencies, IT forensics companies). The legal basis for processing the aforementioned data is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. If the data is further processed based on our legitimate interests (investigating suspected cases and violations, ensuring IT security), the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Storage period:
Personal data is automatically deleted after 7 days, unless there is a legitimate interest in longer retention, e.g., if there is suspicion of unlawful use or a threat to IT security. In that case, the data will be stored for as long as necessary for clarification.
Rights of those affected:
You have the right to information, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability (Articles 15-20 GDPR), as well as the right to object in specific cases (Article 21 GDPR). Since the data is essentially only indirectly linked to individuals, we often require your cooperation to ensure that your rights as data subjects are protected. Regardless of the fact that you can contact our external data protection officer at any time for information and to lodge a complaint, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with any data protection supervisory authority.
